In this time, the head of Lab in Kalisz was archaeologist Krzysztof Dąbrowski. The excavations at the archaeological site of the Roman period in Piwonice near Kalisz was related to the role of archaeological sources in the identification of Kalisz as Ptolemy’s Kalisia.
