Call for papers

The Editorial Board of Fasciculi Archaeologiae Historicae cordially invites archaeologists, historians, and art historians to submit scholarly articles for consideration in Volume 39, the principal theme of which shall be:

Death, Funeral, and Memory. The Burials of Elite Representatives in the Middle Ages and Early Modern Period.

The objective of this volume is to foster an interdisciplinary discourse concerning funerary practices, commemorative forms, and the cultural significance of death among elites from the medieval period through to the early modern era. We particularly welcome submissions presenting the results of archaeological investigations, historical analyses, anthropological research, and interpretations of works of art pertinent to this subject matter.

Manuscripts should be submitted no later than 31 May 2026.
