Abstract

In 2011 a new site was discovered in Buniewice, on Chrząszczewska Island, NW Poland. The surface collection contains artifacts of different Stone Age periods, among others the assemblage related to Final Paleolithic Tanged Points Technocomplex. An article presents the materials from Buniewice and preliminary results of technological analysis. An essential issue is method of division and analysis of mixed collections, based on technological approach. Second part of the paper is dedicated to both archaeological and environmental context of the Final Pleistocene finds in area of Islands of Pomeranian Bay. Main problem are the oldest finds and colonization of this area
