The article presents Witold Chromiński (1913-1977), an exceptional, though a bit forgotten photographer and traveller. Chromiński was one of the pioneers of TV Szczecin. He travelled all around the world growing especially fond of Africa. He vistited Canada with Arkady Fiedler (described by Fiedler in his book And the Tempting Canada Once Again). In 1954 he published in the journal “Fotografia” his method of isoprint. The archive of his work includes the maritime and travel photography, nudes, portraits, pictures of Polish cities and theatre actors. The author of the article uses archive materials as well as her interviews with people who personally knew Chromiński.
