Abstract

The aim of the article is to discuss the issue of the ecological picturebook as a phenomenon of contemporary material culture while emphasizing the ecology-economy-art relationship. The research optics, extended with a historical outline of ecological printing, made it possible to discuss the current issues related to the book production
process, with particular emphasis on the aspect of environmental friendliness. I proposed two criteria for the environmental friendliness of the picture book and discussed it on an example.
