Abstrakt
W oparciu o etnograficzne badaniach terenowe w mieście Humań (Ukraina), ważnym chasydzkim ośrodku pielgrzymkowym zbudowanym wokół grobu cadyka Nachmana z Bracławia, badam pojęcie energii wykorzystywanej przez nie-chasydzkich i nieżydowskich mieszkańców Humania do opisania pielgrzymek i ich wpływu na miasto. Argumentuję, że dla niektórych mieszkańców Humania energia, jako część szerszego zestawu przekonań o charakterze ontologicznym, wyjaśnia sprawczość aktorów ludzkich i innych niż ludzie, a także żywotność świata, w którym funkcjonują. W artykule pokazuję, w jaki sposób pojęcie energii odzwierciedla konteksty lokalne i ponadlokalne pielgrzymek, w szczególności walki o tożsamość narodową i suwerenność, oraz jest wykorzystywane w procesie współtworzenia pielgrzymek przez nie-pielgrzymów.
