We invite you to submit texts for the next issue of

Journal of Urban Ethnology (24/2026).

This time, we are not specifying a leading theme, but are proposing an open formula for texts “from the drawer.”  Therefore, we invite you to submit articles on various aspects of urban culture.

The deadline for submitting texts is February 28, 2026.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We hereby issue the call for papers for the upcoming issue of the Journal of Urban Ethnology (22/2024), whose leading topic will be 

A CITY AND A MUSEUM

with particular emphasis on the bilateral relations:

A city in a museum – museum representations of cities, the perception of cities and the creation of stories about their cultural specificity, history and contemporaneity; museum collections, exhibition strategies and practices; urban museums and open-air museums of cities and small towns

A museum in a city – museums in urban socio-cultural spaces, relations between museums and city residents, tourists, museum audiences, relationships with other institutions, changes in the functioning and perception of the institution of a city museum

Deadline for papers intended for publication in this section: 29th February 2024.

In addition, in the Miscellanea section of each issue we reserve space for papers not connected with the issue’s leading topic; contributions for this section are invited on a permanent basis.
