Badania traseologiczne funkcji prehistorycznych wyrobów drewnianych, czy to w ogóle możliwe? Przykład tłuczków ze stanowisk w Šventoji na Litwie.

W artykule przedstawiono wstępne wyniki analizy traseologicznej kolekcji tłuczków drewnianych pozyskanych w trakcie badań wykopaliskowych kompleksu stanowisk subneolitycznych w Šventoji na Litwie. W trakcie badań podjęto próbę oceny możliwości interpretacji funkcji tych narzędzi na podstawie widocznych na nich (prawdopodobnie) zniszczeń użytkowych oraz weryfikacji hipotez na temat sposobu ich użytkowania, wysuniętych przez autorów badań wykopaliskowych. Nadrzędnym celem studiów była próba wstępnej charakterystyki cech śladów użytkowych powstających na narzędziach drewnianych (w tym przypadku tłuczkach), możliwości ich analizy mikroskopowej i interpretacji (także w kontekście modyfikacji wynikających z czynników podepozycyjnych i zastosowanego procesu konserwacji). W konsekwencji podjęto dyskusje o możliwości prowadzenia analiz traseologicznych (funkcjonalnych) narzędzi drewnianych pochodzących z epoki kamienia.
