Abstract

The primary research goal of article entitled “An exhibition ˗ a city – a network. The case of Genus Bononiae” will be to conduct a museological and cultural study devoted to a specific case of a municipal museum, namely a project implemented in Bologna which combines the city space, a permanent exhibition and several historical buildings in the city centre into one consistent exhibition space. In order to organize it, the metaphor of the network will be used. The attention will be focused primarily on the visual, verbal and narrative analysis of the permanent exhibition, as well as the relations between the exhibition and the city.
