Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present the architectural and construction community in the Lubartów district during the Second Republic of Poland. The analysis of source
materials made it possible to connect more than thirty architects and builders and a much more numerous group of construction craftsmen, primarily bricklayers and
carpenters. The Lubartów district had a decidedly agricultural character, and the construction movement was not well developed there. This was not conducive to the
formation of a local architectural community and caused the most important construction projects carried out in its area to be the result of the work of men for whom the
connection with this community was short-lived. It also forced the local construction craftsmen to seek employment in other, better developed regions.
