Abstract

This publication is the culmination of archaeological research conducted on the island of Murano, in the area of the Church of Saints Mary and Donatus and its baptistery, since the 1960s, as part of Polish-Italian cooperation. It consists of studies on the architectural relics discovered here, the remains of a modern cemetery and many categories of artefacts, including ceramics and glass. Although part of the archaeological documentation has been irreversibly degraded and the finds have been scattered, various analyses have been carried out and previous findings have been reinterpreted.
