Abstract

The question “Do communists live here?” became a pretext for the author to reflect on the common perception of the heritage of the city/district of Nowa Huta (NH) in Cracow (Poland). Methodologically, the considerations are embedded into the concept of the dissonant heritage and the authorised heritage discourse. The presented materials were obtained during classic ethnographic research. The research area included, among others, the “communism tours”.
