Abstract

This reply to a polemic presented by P. Szczepanik regarding the present author’s article, Masks from Opole in the context of medieval Slavic rites (published in “Archeologia Polski” vol. 66), takes issue foremost – this in view of the content of the polemic – with the form of the argumentation presented by Szczepanik, and his knowledge of the sources and ability to work with them, thus showing on one hand his intentions and on the other, his research methods.
