Abstract

The article discusses a list of the mobilia of the suffragan of Łuck, bishop Adam Rostkowski, created before his death (d. March 5, 1738). The bishop came from a noble Masovian family and was related to the Szczuka family. The published register is known from a copy kept together with other documents prepared in connection with the priest’s death. The value of this source results from the wealth of information on the material world of the Catholic clerical hierarchy as well as information on the bishop’s closest
circle. The register consists of a list of objects and horses, containing annotations as to their distribution after the cleric’s death. The notes allow for the reconstruction of the
group of people closest to the bishop and indicate the material resources he accumulated during his life.
