Communiqués – the section containing preliminary research papers, narrow case studies and presentations of infrequent or rare assemblages – 5-10 pages (standard manuscript format), including footnotes and bibliography; tables (up to 5) and figures (up to 8) maybe added to the text.

Sources – the section contains editions of archival sources (both single documents and sets of records) with critical commentary – 10-25 pages (standard manuscript format), including footnotes and bibliography; tables (up to 10) and figures (up to 5) maybe added to the text.

State of Research – the section includes papers presenting overview and evaluation of current and previous research on particular problems of the history of material culture – 5-15 pages (standard manuscript format), including footnotes and bibliography; tables (up to 5) and figures (up to 5) maybe added to the text.

Research methods – papers published in this section present and examine methodological approaches and methods used in fields of history, archaeology and art history – 5-15 pages (standard manuscript format), including footnotes and bibliography; tables (up to 5) and figures (up to 5) maybe added to the text.

Review articles – the section containing papers inspired and related to a particular study, in which the work is presented and thoroughly examined, with reviewer’s critical commentary exploring various problems related to the study’s subject – 5-15 pages (standard manuscript format), including footnotes and bibliography; tables (up to 5) and figures (up to 5) maybe added to the text.

Reviews – comprehensive, critical reviews of current publications concerning the history of material culture – up to 10 pages (standard manuscript format), including footnotes and bibliography.

Reports and notes – short summaries and reviews of current publications concerning the history of material culture – up to 5 pages (standard manuscript format), including footnotes and bibliography.

Discussions – the section contains papers starting debates on various topics of the history of material culture, discussions with research papers published in the journal, replies to review articles and reviews publications concerning the history of material culture – up to 5 pages (standard manuscript format), including footnotes and bibliography.

Chronicle – the section contains reports on current scientific events (congresses, conferences, workshops), presentations of Polish and foreign museums and exhibitions, obituaries of esteemed historians, archaeologists and art historians – up to 5 pages (standard manuscript format), including footnotes and bibliography; tables (up to 5) and figures (up to 5) maybe added to the text.

Letters – the section containing letters sent to the Editors in response to published articles and reviews – up to 5 pages (standard manuscript format), including footnotes and bibliography.
