Review process
Authors who submit their papers for publication in Archaeological Review agree for their papers to undergo a reviewing process.
The process of accepting and reviewing papers submitted for publications in Archaeological Review is based on the instructions of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
Submitted papers are first assessed by members of the Editorial team who verify them in terms of formal and substantive correctness. The Editorial team reserves the right to reject a paper if the initial evaluation reveals it does not meet editorial requirements. Accepting a paper for publication is conditioned by a statement
that it has not been published in any other publication and has not been submitted for review to any other editorial board.
In the next stage papers are reviewed by two anonymous reviewers, specialists in a given discipline, who are not members of the Editorial team or the Editorial Committee. This double-blind review process is confidential and mutually anonymous. The reviewers cannot use their knowledge on a paper’s content before it is published. It is the Editorial team who make the final decision on accepting a paper.
