Abstract

This article presents a defensive-residential complex located in the village of Wilczyska, in the current Lublin voivodeship, which has not yet been described in academic publications. The text discusses conclusions drawn from the survey of written sources which served as the basis for establishing the identities of the holders of the discussed estate, changes of ownership title, and stages of the residence’s functioning. As a result of the field survey and the analysis of the digital elevation model, the present state of preservation of the building, its size, form, and components, as well as its preliminary chronology, were determined. The residence was probably built in the 15th century and functioned at least until the mid-17th century.
