Abstract

Archaeological excavation in the marketplace of Wiązów (Strzelin district) in 1992 and again in 2018 uncovered the relics of a small cemetery consisting of at least three inhumation burials. These were identified as burials of members of the local Celtic community from the early La Tène period, as indicated by certain features of the graves. Some of the personal adornments found with the skeletons were produced probably in workshops active at the time in the central part of the Bohemian Basin. The location of the graves on the fringes of the La Tène culture settlement is also of interest.
